Mother's Day French Toast

Philip made this for me on my first Mother's Day

Orange Butter:
1/2 c. unsalted butter
1 t. finely grated orange rind
1 T. orange juice

Fresh Fruit

French Toast:
4 eggs
1/3 c. light cream
1/4 c. maple syrup
2 T. orange juice
1/2 t. vanilla
1/4 t. freshly grated nutmeg
pinch cinammon

1/4 c. butter (for frying the french toast in)

8 slices of bread
2 T. icing sugar
